Hello! My name is Sally and I run Pilates classes in Stevenage at various Community Centres. If you are interested in the many benefits of Pilates but don't want to be tied to expensive gym fees and would like to exercise in a friendly, informal environment, then keep reading!
I have been a qualified exercise instructor since 1991 and qualified to teach Pilates in 2005. After many years of teaching in clubs, I started my own community classes in 2005 and I currently run 6 Pilates classes each week. (Please see the 'Timetable' page for more details.)
Pilates movements gently stretch the muscles, pulling them into leaner and longer shapes. Pilates is a low-impact exercise and movement class designed to tone the abdominals, strengthen your back, improve your posture and increase your flexibility. There is a mixture of standing and floor work exercises for all abilities. Resistance bands, pilates mini-balls, foam rollers or pilates magic circles are sometimes used and these will be provided.

I aim to provide motivational classes that offer safe but effective exercises. I cater for beginners to intermediates within each class by offering different levels for many exercises. This will help you to achieve your fitness goals and improve your confidence and physical levels, whatever your ability. I continue to educate myself throughout the year by attending courses, workshops, masterclasses and fitness events.
